I know that some of you could care less about overclocking, but this is for those of you who do. Advanced Micro Devices has released a few pictures of the so called "TWKR" chip, which appears to be a glorified limited edition Phenom II.

CrunchGear has uploaded their video of the AMD overclocking event in Austin the other day - while there isn't much about overclocking in it, it is still a cool video. The guys at AMD are shown playing with liquid helium, liquid nitrogen and erasers. AMD is apparently going to upload their own video in the near future, and we will make sure to post that as soon as we see it.

Legit Reviews has coverage of AMD's overclocking event I went to last week.

I had a blast visiting AMD's Austin campus and burning up nitrogen and silicon for them. Judging by how successful the event was and the fact that K|ngp|n was so very close to 7GHz, I wouldn't be surprised if a similar event occurred in the near future. I'd like to once again thank all the individuals I met at AMD, you guys were a great group of people.

Neoseeker has coverage of AMD's overclocking event that was going on yesterday.

That is where it gets the most exciting. As I said earlier, liquid helium is much colder than liquid nitrogen. As a matter of fact, approximately one liter of that stuff is consumed in one minute. So that means you must have quite a large supply to be able to bench for just a few hours.

XtremeSystems has a few pictures of some AMD processors being overclocked to 6.3 GHz on extreme cooling. If I'm not mistaken, it is at AMD's new location in Austin. At 6343 MHz, the processor, a Phenom II 955, was able to do a 32M run on Super Pi in just under 11.5 minutes.
